Sheriff’s Office looking for a Hispanic male who attempted to abduct a 12 year old child
Marion Co. Sheriff’s Office – 02/19/09
On 2-18-09, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4800 block of Satter Drive NE regarding an attempted abduction. The victim, a 12 year old boy, reported that around 5:30 pm, he was walking home from a friend’s house. As he got close to his home, a Hispanic male approached him and said in Spanish “Hey friend can you come get inside my car for a minute?” The victim ran toward his house where his mother was watching from the window and said she saw him running from the car and he appeared to be very frightened. She said she quickly realized what was going on and got her keys so she could pursue the suspect and attempt to get his license plate number, she observed the vehicle leaving Westbound on Satter Drive. However, by the time she got to her car, the suspect vehicle had disappeared. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect or his vehicle.
The suspect is described as a skinny Hispanic male, late 30’s or early 40’s, 5’8 to 5’10 with a mustache. He was wearing a multi-colored checkered shirt with blue jeans. The suspect was driving a black older model Honda, 4-door with faded paint.
