Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into the rollover crash of a commercial truck Friday morning that resulted in the closure of Highway 66 east of Ashland. OSP located and arrested the 46-year old male driver whose name is released in this update.

According to OSP Sergeant Tanya Henderson, on July 1, 2011 at approximately 11:15 a.m. a dump truck pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with an excavator was eastbound on Highway 66 near milepost 15 attempted to negotiate a curve when the trailer and excavator tipped over, blocking the highway.

The driver notified his company, JM Construction, of the crash and left the scene before the company and emergency responders arrived. Some diesel spilled from the overturned excavator. OSP received information leading troopers to a Medford-area location where they contacted and arrested ANGLEO ALEX IRIGOYEN JR, age 46, from Central Point, at 4:10 p.m. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail for Reckless Driving and Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver in a Property Damage Crash.
